We are now in the north of Thailand between chiang mai and chiang rai in the middle of the forest where the coffee is grown. We went there during a coffee trip for 3 days in Doi Sakhet, a district of Chiang Mai province. If you want to make this, don't hesitate to ask us more informations about the next coffee trip !
Our first coffee tour was in Thailand !
Have a look on the thailand coffee tour we did in 2016, what an amazing experience was it to plant coffee trees, to learn about coffee farming. A huge thanks to all the coffee community from Thailand !
Video 1 : our first coffee trip was in 2016 at Akha Ama coffee and since then we did one more at Nine One Coffee.
The Thailand coffee tour was created for thai people to learn more about coffee. The SCATH is the association of coffee that is very involved in the community to promote specialty coffee and bring coffee people together. It was amazing to see how well organized is this association and how involved are the people from the community. It's inspiring for us and it's something that we will definitly try to set up in France. People are not competing each other but they are growing and developping together.
Map of the thailand coffee tour 2019. Discover each year the thailand arabica coffee tour and visit coffee shops and coffee plantation.
Unfortunately, all videos I took during this trip was lost in Thailand because someone broke the hardware that storaged all the files. So I'm sorry we can't see what happened and I hope the video from 2016 will give you an idea and also the text below will help you discover more about this coffee trip.
Learning coffee with the SCATH

Picture 1 : let's visit coffee farms ! But first COFFEE at Akha Ama.
Learn how coffee is produce is an important step to develop sustainable coffees. Indeed, coffee production has a huge impact on the environment. More and more farmers are aware about their impact on the environment. They start to see the impacts of their actions on the soil, the fauna and flora, and the coffee cherries.
So we also learn from this coffee trip how much the forest and the biodiversity is important to the coffee production.
SCATH is an association that brings coffee people together in order to learn more about coffee. Every year they organise coffee tour in the farm in order to understand more the importance of coffee production on the coffee.

First thing you do when you make a coffee tour, is to drink a good cup of coffee ! And we started the journey in the famous Akha Ama coffee shop located in Chiang Mai. Then we moved to The First Valley academy . After that we jumped back in the minibus to join the Coffee Shop of Nine One coffee. At the end of the day we join everyone at nine one coffee plantation in the resort. What a great place ! Nine one coffee resort is great for having barbecue with eveybody, it's in the middle of the jungle and the noise outside is full of birds and wild animals.

The last day, taste coffee, learn about roasting and brewing coffee. What a great experience to learn about coffee directly in the middle of the farm. Stay tuned, because it's going more and more dynamic in Thailand. Every day you meet people and share wonderfull moment. Thailand coffee as so much to offer, it would be great to bring some green coffee in France. Before that, come in Thailand and visit their coffee shop, coffee roasteries and coffee plantations everywhere in the country.
